Berrien High School Rebel Regiment

Greetings from the Rebel Regiment!  This is going to be a busy week, and we have lots of information in this weeks newsletter, so thank you for subscribing and lets get to it!

The Rebel Regiment performed an abbreviated show this past Friday night, in much cooler conditions than previous weeks.  After performing a partial show, the Regiment invited members of the Berrien Middle School band onto the field to play two songs and then "Rebel Rouser".  The middle school students enjoyed participating and we were happy to have them with us.  Pictures and video will be uploaded to the band website, so please check those out if you missed the show.

The Regiment will be performing Friday night, and then we will be going to Lowndes County on Saturday to compete in the "Battle on the Border" competition.  There are full details further down in the newsletter.

Also, Friday night is SENIOR NIGHT, where our senior band members are recognized for their accomplishments.  This is a night for the senior students and their parents.  If you do not have a band member who is a senior, we ask that you please volunteer in the concession stand, so that parents who do have seniors will be able to fully enjoy and participate in the evenings events.  Your support would be greatly appreciated and will help to maximize the experience for all of our seniors.  If you are willing to help, please let Donna King know by either email or by calling her at 229-543-1001.  We thank everyone who supports the Rebel Regiment, and if we all pitch in Friday, we can all help our seniors to have a very memorable night!

We had a great time at the car wash Saturday.  Thanks to everyone that showed up to help.

Also, This Thursday night at 6:00 pm we need workers to put combo bags together and get ready for Friday night’s game.

Please remember that this is senior night and if your child is not a senior, we would appreciate very much if you could check to see if help is needed in the concession stand.

This is going to be a great week and I am so excited about Saturday.  Please be praying for all the kids in the band that they will be feeling their best and can perform to their potential.  We have a great bunch of kids and we all need to be very thankful.

We will depart for the Battle on the Border contest this Saturday morning at 10:00.  We will perform in the prelims at 1:00.  The awards for the prelims will be at 4:30.

If we make the final round of 8 bands, we will stay and perform the show again.  The bands will draw for their performance order and times.  The final round will begin at 7:00 with the awards given out at 9:30.

The Band Boosters will provide plenty of snacks, drinks and water, but, not a full meal.  Students will need money for the concessions stand and souvenirs.

The event will be held at Martin Stadium and Lowndes High.  Cars should enter the stadium by the entrance off of Norman Drive.

New Weather Forecasting On Website
If you look at the bottom of the front page of the website you will see that we now have weather provided through a partnership with weather.com.  This new system allows us to get more accurate and timely updates than the old system, and if you click on "stadium weather" at the top of the site you will see that we now have a substantial amount of new weather data available.  Keep watching the site because we are constantly adding new things!
