Dear [FIRSTNAME],
Hello faithful Rebel Regiment members, boosters, instructors, parents, groupies and fans! We know you were heartbroken that you didn't get a newsletter last week, so lets jump right in today ok?
Rebel Regiment Final Halftime Show 09
The Rebel Regiment performed their last half time show of 2009 at the Mitchell County Game last Friday night. With the temperature hovering in the low 40's, the band arrived in Camilla and set up in the visitors bleachers, along with a large crowd of BHS Football fans. The game got underway and so did the band, cheering on the football team and keeping the crowd pumped up with plenty of music and cheers for everyone. As the second quarter wound down, the band gathered near the stands to prepare for the show. Band seniors prepared to give their last show performance, and the band had a moment of prayer before entering the field.
Mr. Denison challenged the band to give their best performance yet and the band delivered! The show left the Mitchell county fans standing on their feet and their announcer repeating "Lets hear it for the Berrien High School Marching Rebel Regiment"!!!
After the show, the band remained at the sidelines to watch Mitchell County's band perform their tribute to the Jackson 5, and then returned to the stands for the second half of the game.
Our Rebel Football team did not disappoint, providing all of us with an exciting game, with plenty of hard charging, hard hitting BHS football. As the football team extended their lead, the band was treated to a meal, provided by the best boosters in the world, the Rebel Regiment Band Boosters! Thank you to the parents who helped get everyone served quickly so that the band could get back to cheering on the team.
After the Rebels won the game 48 to 18, the band scrambled to get equipment loaded onto the truck as the temperature continued to dive lower, and we departed Mitchell county and returned to Nashville.
Thanks again to everyone who has volunteered their time, skills and support over the past weeks. It is because of the support we receive from our boosters that we are able to continue to provide the level of entertainment and precision that is present in every Rebel Regiment production.
